nut and bolt organizers

Do you like keeping all your things organized? Do you like the thought of finding your things, when you need them? Then this DIY home project is just for you. Here at Craft Corners we understand that it gets harder to store things in a systematic order when your family grows and you collect more items that you can handle. By using bins, compartments and furniture with ample storage will help your reduce the clutter from the outside and will help you find things more easily. But how do your store small but sharp things like nails and bolts?

This simple DIY project will help you create nut and bolt organizers that will keep them in place and reachable at the times when you need them.

What you need:

  • Empty transparent jars
  • Already existing shelf
  • Nails and a screw driver

How to do it:

  1. You need multiple empty transparent jars with lids that you can use to keep nails or pins of different sizes and shape in an organized manner. These glass jars can be empty jam bottles, baby food jars or any other bottle that can be recycled for this purpose.
  2. Then choose a wooden shelf that can support the weight of these items. You can either drill a shelf on the wall in your work room or use an existing one.
  3. Screw the lids on the shelves with the nails in such a manner that the inner lid is facing downwards. In order to make sure that the nails do not come off while unscrewing the jar, drill a couple of nails to the lid. Now place other lids equidistant from each other and screw them to the shelf too.
  4. Finally, store the different sizes of nails, bolts and cubicle pins in these jars and twist them on their lids. This way they are at reach whenever you need them.
