Make your own stuffed animal puppet

Puppets are not only entertaining; they are also educational. You can use puppets to teach your children what is right and what is wrong. Puppets are cute, soft and lovable. You can easily make a puppet at home. These puppets can help you tell bedtime stories and teach various enlightening lessons. Here are some items you will need to make a puppet:

  • Stuffed animal
  • Glove or sock
  • Needle
  • Thread
  • Scissors

Step one: Pick a cute stuffed animal of your child’s choice. You can choose a stuffed teddy bear, bunny, frog or fish toy. Choosing the right stuffed toy is important because this will help you keep your kids more entertained. You can pick a toy that your child finds funny, cute, fascinating or adorable. You can pick a stuffed black and white dog, a baby giraffe, a baby elephant or a baby fox from Aurora.

Step two: Cut open the spot where you want your hand to go in. For instance, you can cut open the toy’s belly area. You can remove the stuffing to make room for your hand. Try to move the animal’s jaw up and down to see if it looks like it is speaking. Once you’ve done this, take your hand out and move on to step three.

Step three: Now pick up a glove, turn it inside out and cut off its fingers, leaving only a big hole in their place. Wear the glove, put your hand into the stuffed toy and try to move its mouth up and down. This will make your stuffed animal talk. You can now sew the top of the glove to the toy so that your hand fits inside properly.

In this project, it is important to keep your items organized. Sharp things like needles and scissors should not be left unattended. You can put all your items in a girls sewing basket. You can check out different types of baskets from CreateForLess and JanetBasket. These can later be used as picnic baskets. You can use them to store toiletries, cosmetics, baby products and various other items. So stay safe, make cute puppets from stuffed animals and have fun with your kids!
